High Speed Internet Service Provider
I need a new high speed internet provider. Any recommendations?
Embarq’s customer service is awful and they are now trying to charge us more so we want to make a switch. We don’t need a super fast high speed service, the slowest available high speed will be good enough for us.
I only get Embarq home phone service in my area. Does this mean I can’t get any other internet provider??
I have one of the AT&T pro plans. It is good for the cost of close to $24/month. I have AT&T phone service for landline and cell phones also…as a bundle, I save a good chunk of change every month also pay one check on one bill. (I have internet, home phone and 4 cell phones with high minutes and a few have the special bundle internet/testing packages on a family plan to pay approx $138/month for all….I’ve been with AT&T forever and a wireless continued customer for 13 years…so when it comes to my renewing of contracts every 2 years on the cell phones, I bargain with the customer service/supervisors to keep old grandfathered costs in tact with my continued patronage…I get it, but you must ask and state your case as a good customer who pays your monthly bill and longevity as a loyal customer….we would add the TV/cable called U-verse, but it is just outside out viewing area…..When it comes in, we will switch over.
Not sure what the providers do to allow other service providers in your area to use their lines…call Embarq and ask or even call the toll free AT&T customer service for a better honest answer. Don’t get sucked into a cheaper rate for a limited time for internet service by some of the highly advertised companies…you’ll end up switching out after the introductory period and have to change your e-mail address.
