How do I start a petition for high-speed Internet?
I live in a fairly rural area, but populated. When it comes to access Internet, the only options we are mobile broadband and satellite, both with prices ridiculously high and low bandwidth limits. We desperately want cable or DSL. How can I make a petition of a company like Comcast or AT & T to provide our neighborhood with the options internet better? How many signatures do I need? Is there anyone in my town, I should contact first? (Mayor, letter to the editor, etc.) Please for advice.
A petition has no legal significance. It's just a way to show support for something. You can get one billion signatures, and they do not provide high-speed Internet. A petition would show great support for her, though. They may be more motivated to provide high speed Internet. But you can not force them to a petition.
